    Nice info to live by in an emergency. We live in Florida so preps are for hurricanes too.
    I didn’t know about the water not lasting very long.
    That I should rotate it out.
    Where did you find Stainless steel water containers?
    Regarding the food I made sure to buy 4 can openers just to be sure one works.
    I bought heirloom seeds to plant. Planted 2 pepper plants which are still alive in their 2nd year with very little maintenance.
    So the heirlooms are much better then the hybrids.

    • Thanks for the feedback. I don’t use stainless steel for water. If you look at the post, this infographic was prepared by the people at food insurance. Personally, I prefer polymer type storage containers for water storage…like the ones sold at portable tank group here: Portable Tank Group.

      • Thanks Matt for getting back to me on the poly-tanks site. I have an older pressure washer tank which I never used yet. It’s 250 gallons. So I’m going to use it to save water in it.
